This years Spring/Summer wedding season has reinvigorated the trend for vases full of beautiful blooms. With winter’s rains, the gardens of Regional Victoria’s best floral providers are teaming with amazing floral delights.
The floral centrepiece has taken on a refined and subtle approach; understated elegance is the coming year’s biggest trend with bright, expensive floral arrangements taking a back seat to a stunning display of glistening glass and silverware. - A tall spaghetti vase is so useful when designing a table centrepiece with drama and romance, suitable for venues that need a bit of ‘dressing up’. They add height to your table without obstructing guest conversation. One of the biggest emerging trends is to use the vase as a ‘base’ with a large, dramatic arrangement on top, a trail of pearls or acrylic diamonds from the arrangement gives the finishing touches.
- The ball or fishbowl vase is amazing with large blooms brimming from the vase, the naked stems creating a visual statement of their own.
- If you prefer your arrangements low, a flat or low bowl is just perfect. Fabulous with floating flowers or rose petals, add some floating candles for a warm, romantic glow.
- The small square vase is fabulous when filled with a bunched arrangement of your favourite bloom. Use a number of these surrounding the taller rectangle vase to create a graduating effect, candles can be used in the space between the vases to create a fabulous channel of light.
- To really accentuate this polished look, set your arrangements on a mirror base which will reflect light and make your room really sparkle.
